NEW CHAPTER HOUSE OPENING FALL 2022
SECURING SIGMA PSI’S LEGACY
Our chapter house at 1210 13th Avenue North has been a home away from home for hundreds of young women through the years. We will always cherish the memories and lifelong friendships formed in our chapter house. For Kappa Delta to continue its legacy at North Dakota State, we must ensure we provide a safe, modern and competitive chapter house where today’s collegians can make memories, build confidence and inspire action. Now is the time to secure our future.

SIGMA PSI CONSTRUCTION UPDATE (Updated 8/25/21)
We are making excellent progress with construction! Our project professionals gathered in Fargo this month to meet with our general contractor, Construction Engineers, and conducted the first of several site visits. The foundation and basement are complete – a critical milestone for construction. Construction Engineers and the rest of our team have been working diligently to navigate construction industry challenges caused by the pandemic, including but not limited to supply chain issues, material shortages, lead-time delays, labor challenges and more. If these industry disruptions cause delays to our construction timeline, we will notify you. At this time, we are still projected to open August 2022.
As part of its services, Construction Engineers has provided a time-lapse video of the demolition! You can watch the video here or by clicking on the photo below.

SIGMA PSI CONSTRUCTION UPDATE- DEMOLITION HAS BEGUN! (Updated 4/28/21)
We have exciting news – demolition has begun at Sigma Psi! The site will be under construction for the next 12-14 months, and the new house is projected to open August 2022. As a reminder, Construction Engineers is our general contractor for the project. They’ve been excellent partners through preconstruction and in navigating the pandemic.
As we shared last month, the safety of our members, alumnae, NDSU students and community is of upmost importance. To prevent injury, please do not access the property or walk near the site.
This is an exciting time for Sigma Psi! Your support and that of so many Sigma Psi members has made this dream a reality.

BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE (Updated 3/16/2021)
We are on track to begin construction at the beginning of April! Our general contractor, architect and other members of our building project team have worked incredibly hard the last several weeks to prepare for construction. We also want to thank the Sigma Psi council, chapter leaders, chapter advisory board members, capital campaign committee and alumna volunteer, Nikki Zimmerman, who spent the past couple of weeks packing boxes and completing inventory of the chapter supplies as we prepare to move out of the house. Thank you for your hard work and service!
It is bittersweet to announce that effective Monday, March 15, the house is officially closed. Your safety is of utmost importance. Therefore, individuals are NOT permitted to go on the property until further notice. What does this mean?
We care about your safety and well-being. While it may be tempting, it is critical you do not access the property, such as going up to the house, peeking into windows or walking along the perimeter. Beginning as early as this week, construction crews will begin putting up construction fences, mobilizing construction crews and demolition of the current properties. There can be loose nails around the building, debris and other materials that can cause bodily harm. We cannot risk injury to members, alumnae, NDSU students or community members. Following this guidance also allows us to stay on track for our timeline of reopening in 2022! Thank you in advance for adhering to this.
